Grin Direct Club

Context

Grin Direct Club is an automated text reminder service to help brushers remember to replace their toothbrushes every 4 months. This idea was inspired by my brother, who is the world's best and my favorite dentist. If you need a dentist check his practice out - Brockport Smiles

Do you know you're supposed to replace your toothbrush or get a new toothbrush head every 4 months? Do you want a text reminder?

Approach

In this project we do the following:

1. Use a Tally form to let our brushers subscribe to our service here.

2. Tally is integrated with Airtable to securely secure your contact information and reminder dates.

3. Zapier integrates with Airtable to send a welcome text to your phone. You can see the Zapier automation below.

4. The Airtable has an automation to update the Next Message Date every time it matches the current date. The same Zapier automation has conditional logic to send a reminder text to let you know when its time to change your toothbrush.

5. The Zapier automation has conditional logic to omit sending messages to deactivated brushers. Those most be the people with dentures though ;D.

Next Steps

1. Create a custom landing page

2. Create a feature to allow brushers to choose to receive a new toothbrush or toothbrush head as their reminder instead of a text

3. Create a feature to allow brushers to choose to receive a an email as their reminder instead of a text

4. Create an self-service mechanism for brushers to deactivate their account
